Blog posts have been a little thin for the past week or so, that’s because we’ve had our first extended stretch of miserable fall weather. After a beautiful summer and a couple weeks of nice autumn weather with the leaves changing colors, the first week of cold, rainy, gray weather is pretty depressing. Rainy and gray all day long for days on end. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest. There’s a reason everything is green.
\nToday there was a little break in the rain and the sun actually peeked through the clouds a few times, a balmy sixty degrees, so out on trails before it starts raining again. Before we hit the singletrack, there is a bike accessory that needs to be installed. It is a sad time of year when the fenders go on the bike, but you gotta have ’em; front and rear.<\/p>\n

\"Front<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Rear<\/a><\/p>\n

Everything is wet and the sun is low in the sky, which makes the deeper forest very dark, even during the brightest part of the day.<\/p>\n

\"Dark<\/a><\/p>\n

The dark forest accented by bright yellow leaves, the wet foliage and damp trails are trademark Pacific Northwest.<\/p>\n

\"Late<\/a><\/p>\n

Out in the open, the sun feels great and the colors are awesome.<\/p>\n

\"Fall<\/a><\/p>\n

There are times when you have to stop and take it all in.<\/p>\n

\"Sun<\/a><\/p>\n

The weather can change in a matter of minutes. It can go from sunny and bright<\/p>\n

\"Leafy<\/a><\/p>\n

To a cloud hitting the mountain and filtering through the forest<\/p>\n

\"Misty<\/a><\/p>\n
