We are really getting lucky here in the Pacific Northwest; instead of cold rain and snow, we have a few more nice sunny days before winter inevitably arrives. This time of year, it’s usually cold rain, gray skies and snow, instead we have sunshine, blue skies and temperatures in the sixties. For November, it has been unbelievably nice<\/p>\n

\"Hood<\/a><\/p>\n

We headed out with a group of friends to Surveyors Ridge<\/a> to do a little mountain biking. Usually, this time of year, Surveyors is covered with a couple feet of snow, in fact, it snowed there last week, but a week of warm rain has melted all the snow. The trails were in perfect condition; moist and tacky, no puddles or mud. The weather was perfect; in the low sixties and sunny, could not have been a nicer day, especially for November.<\/p>\n

\"Surveyors<\/a><\/p>\n

Surveyors Ridge has some of the best views in the Cascade foothills, the multiple cloud layers made for some spectacular views of Mt. Hood<\/p>\n

After a few rain-free days, the river levels are dropping again and hopefully, the water is clearing up a little so we can have a couple more chances at landing that trophy steelhead or a big salmon.
