The fall storms are starting to make their way over the Cascades from the Pacific Ocean, but there are still a few hours here and there where the sun will shine and you’ll see some blue sky. A small storm front blew through last night with a few rain showers and drizzle, but the sun came out for a few hours today in front of the next front.
\nIt’s a time of year with longer shadows and the fall colors starting to show.<\/p>\n

\"Long<\/a><\/p>\n

In the deeper forest, the foliage is still green and the singletrack is just about perfect.<\/p>\n

\"Sweet<\/a><\/p>\n

At the top of the local mountain, a look across the valley and it was easy to see another storm is on the way. Somewhere in those angry looking clouds is Mt. Hood.<\/p>\n

\"Mt.<\/a><\/p>\n

Heading downhill into town, the lower elevations show the change of seasons; the brown of summer, the reds of fall and the greens of the Pacific NW that never go away.<\/p>\n

On the way back up the mountain and home, I stopped along the way on a trail I’ve ridden hundreds of times but always looks great to me. No matter where I go from here, I’ll see this trail in my mind’s eye.<\/p>\n

A great day outside today, but the rain is falling now and probably will continue through tomorrow. Looks like indoor activities for the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
