Snow, Sun, Rain and Road Biking

We’ve had a mix of sun, rain and snow the past few days, today we have sun and clear blue skies. It’s a little on the cool side as this latest storm front blows on through, but after a few days cooped up in the house, it’s nice to get outside again. Too muddy for mountain biking, that’s for sure, so time to saddle up the road bike again and get out there. Most of the roads are dry and it’s a really nice, sunny day, but a few hundred feet higher in elevation, there’s snow on the ground

Today I am leaving the major climbing out of the ride because my left knee is a little sore. I may have overdone it a little with the distances I’ve been riding and wound up with a sore knee, so I’m taking it easy for a few rides. Rode out into the hills a little to check out a Forest Service road I want to take the mountain bike on, it’s a pretty stiff climb up towards Mt. Hood, so we’ll save that ride for a bit later when we have a few more miles in the books.

Looks like the weather is going to be nice for a few days so we are hoping to get some mountain biking in this weekend. Spring is right around the corner so it looks like it’s time to start getting the fishing stuff ready to go as well.
