Big Time Season Opener

The PacNW snow season got off to a big start with six inches of fresh powder over a three foot base on opening day.

Only two of the lower mountain chairs were open but there was plenty of fresh, fluffy powder.

The second day of the season was just as nice; if not better. Opening day was the Veterans Day holiday so there was a bit of a lift line wait most of the time. Today was sunny, no lift lines and 2-4″ of fresh powder.

As the sun shone over Mt. Hood and Heather Canyon; we are hoping the snow continues so the whole mountain can open and get the season going full blast.

Day three brought more fluffy powder. 4-6″ of new snow for the first runs of the day. Day three also came with a raging blizzard. About an inch of snow an hour with 20MPH+ wind; pretty much whiteout conditions. At least for the time being; winter has arrived.
