Between Spring Storms

It has been raining, snowing and hailing off and on for the past week or so. Yesterday I managed to sneak out in between storms and get a ride in.

There is a lot of water in and on the ground, the trails were mostly wet, muddy and slippery. Water was running strong in every little creek, in the summer, these creeks are mostly dry or just a trickle of water here and there. Some of these creeks have cut across singletrack and washed out parts of the trail.

Yesterday was mostly sunny, albeit a little cool, but today was classic PacNW. By noon there was over three inches of snow on the ground with more on the way in the next few days. All the proof you need to get out and ride whenever you have a chance because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

I’m just about done editing and encoding the first of many classic mountain bike videos, I should have them online tomorrow!
