Up In The Hills

Finally, a nice couple of days to go riding, so up into the hills we go. Even though it’s the middle of June and 75 degrees, there are still patches of snow.

Still plenty of snow up on Mt. Hood as well. With all the snow and warm weather, avalanche danger is pretty high.

No avalanche danger for us, we were across the valley on Surveyors Ridge.

Looks like the bears have come out from their winter hibernation. They must be hungry, we came across a couple of elk carcasses. Below is Don with a rarely seen “Caribou Carcass Jump”.

Surveyors Ridge is one of the many world class mountain bike trails in the Pacific Northwest.

Always great to get out for an epic ride on a great trail on a beautiful sunny day.
