Finished up the review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 and worked most of the day editing photos and video. Had to get out for a little while so I took a quick ride around the west side of town. The west side of town is pretty much like the east, south and north sides of town; it’s mostly farms and fruit orchards. It’s going to be a late fruit season this year, but the pears and apples are starting to get big. Lots of irrigation going on to plump up the fruit.
Here is one of the local Hood River landmarks. It’s probably not on any tourist map or bus tour, but if you live in the area for any length of time, especially if you spend a lot of time in the mountains, you know who the Crag Rats are.
I didn’t have a lot of time to ride, but you don’t need a lot of mileage to get a good workout around here. There are plenty of hills just like this one
Still working on some video, we’ll have a Vimeo channel in addition to the YouTube channel shortly. Another camera review should be ready soon and MBO is next weekend, so it is going to be a busy week!
