Friday was beautiful, yesterday it was snowing and today was somewhere in between. The sun was out, but it was on the cool side, just over 50F for the day’s high temperature. You take advantage of any decent day around here, especially when the weather forecast for the upcoming week is for rain and snow. Give me a break. Anyway, another chance to save a little gas and get some riding in by heading down into town and checking the mail.
Some of the roads around here are not completely paved, so you have to do a little dirt riding sometimes to complete your journey. The Vittoria Zaffiro Pro 2 23mm tires I use are pretty durable for these rugged riding conditions, but today I pushed it a little too far. Riding on a dirt/gravel/rock section of road, about 50 meters from the next stretch of pavement, a rock punctured the rear tire’s sidewall and had a flat. Not the end of the world, but I was only a mile from my house.
Looks like another week of mostly indoor activities.
