It has been raining for almost a week, the snowpack is melting and all that water has to go somewhere. Off the mountains, down the valley and into the river. Creeks that are dry or just a trickle in the summer are raging torrents. There is a lot of water headed downhill today.
The weather around here has been pretty sad. It’s really warm for the middle of January in the PacNW, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. We’ve posted a POV video of one of the best local downhill mountain bike trails. Known as the “Evergreen Freeway”, it’s the way I get to town from where I live. A little over three miles long, it’s a roller coaster ride downhill and a solid workout peddling back up. Click HERE for the video.
