A great day of snowboarding at Mt. Hood Meadows today; blue skies and fresh powder. Monday light crowds; no lift lines. Plenty of crisp powder off the main runs, the temperature and humidity were perfect to keep the groomers in great shape for full speed bomber runs. The winter season opened with steady snowfall; then ramped up into knarly and dangerous blizzard conditions. On November 23 the ski area was closed due to 70-100mph wind and whiteout conditions.
