A great day of snowboarding at Mt. Hood Meadows today; blue skies and fresh powder. Monday light crowds; no lift lines. The winter season opened with steady snowfall; then ramped up into knarly and dangerous blizzard conditions. On November 23 the ski area was closed due to 70-100mph wind and whiteout conditions.
