Looks like the Evergreen Highway trail will be re-opened after a severe ice storm downed a large number of trees, closing the trail. In the past couple years, salvage logging and regular timber harvesting operations have been ongoing, trails are closed while logging is taking place. This trail is on private property, as part of the agreement with the landowners who allow mountain bikers to use their property, maps and directions to the trail are not given out over the internet. It’s not too hard to find, it’s in the White Salmon, WA area, if you stop in town and ask around, someone will tell you where it is.
Even though the trail is open again, it is not going to look like it does in the video, which was taken before the ice storm. In all probability, the trail will never look like this again in our lifetime, so the video is as close as you’ll get to the way the trail used to look.
