Our last mountain bike ride was in the rain at Falls Creek. It rained for a couple days and we woke up to a cloudy morning. It was clear enough to see that Mt. Hood had received a dusting of new snow, the first of the season.
A few hours later, the clouds cleared and the sun came out making for a fantastic late autumn day. Because of the rain, the local trails that had been closed due to fire danger are now open. Haven’t been out on the neighborhood trails for a few weeks, with the recent rain, they are in great shape.
It was pretty much a perfect day for mountain bike riding. No dust, autumn colors and great views
Great to be back on the home trails again. While we were out riding, we discovered a new section of trail. When new trails appear around here, you have a pretty good idea who is making them. As expected, here is Steve, who is a master trailbuilder with CAMBA and HRATS, carving out some new singletrack.
Steve does some pretty nice work
Mountain biking is always great, today was no exception to the rule
Looks like a little more rain coming our way, please let us have a few more nice days before winter sets in.
