Another awesome day here in the Columbia River Gorge, sunny and mild wind. It was a little chilly out the door this morning, about 38°F, not boardshort weather quite yet. Since Northwestern Lake is history, we headed over to the other neighborhood fishing spot; Rowland Lake. Right off Washington route 14, pretty hard to miss.
Clear, crisp and calm just before sunrise
Got the kayak rigged up and got ready to get out there and do some fishing
Got out on the lake and caught a couple rainbows before looking to the west and seeing the early morning light on Mt. Hood
Best news of all; the fish were biting! Caught plenty of rainbow trout, all released to fight another day
Here’s a video of some of the fishing action
Looks like a bit more wind tomorrow, so it’s back to the bike.
