More Great Mountain Biking

The Pacific Northwest has some of the best mountain biking in the world. It may not have the best “spot”, but if you spent a couple weeks here, the total package is pretty unbeatable. The big variable is Mother Nature; the weather pretty much dictates what is going on. The tail end of the 2012-13 winter has been very mild, almost scary mild. Sure, it’s nice now, but what that means is fire in the summer. We’ll see, it’s a long time before we put the GoreTex away around here.
We had a pretty good rain/hail/snow event here a couple days ago, the trails have been pretty wet so we’ve been riding the gravel roads. Weekend warriors are riding the local trails even though they are too wet and the trails get wrecked, that’s the way it goes. A day or two makes a big difference when trails are drying out. The wonderful thing about nature is that even a thousand human beings can’t damage a bunch of rocks in a forty eight hour span

Almost every place has at least one perfect day, the odds are much better here

A bit of rain in the next few days, it’s getting warmer, maybe time to get the fishing season going…
