Yesterday was another in an unbelievable stretch on mild winter weather. Sunny and dry, temperature in the high 50’s; more like late April or May instead of the middle of February.
There were a few muddy spots and the recent rain and snowmelt generated by the unseasonably mild temperatures have got the creeks and steams running, but for the most part, it’s about as good as it is going to get for this time of year.
The weather is still nice today, I might try to sneak out for a quick ride and make it four days in a row; a rare feat for the middle of winter. Tomorrow, Don from Gorge Delights and I are headed to Portland, OR for the Worst Day of the Year Ride; it looks like it is going to live up to it’s name with a major storm blowing in later today. Looking at over an inch of rain overnight with the rain continuing through the ride. Time to dig out the rain gear.
