First 2011 MTB Ride

The weather has remained nice, the trails are drying out, so out into the woods we go. I missed out on a ride yesterday because I had some computer work to do, but today was a ride day. It was sunny in the morning, then clouded up in the afternoon, probably due to a storm … Read more

First Bike Ride of 2011

The 2011 bike riding season has begun! Thanks to the unusually warm and surprisingly dry weather here in the PacNW, I was able to get out for a quick ride before a rainstorm blows in. The weather here in Washington has been unseasonably warm and rainy, usually January is a snowy, cold time of year. … Read more

Water, Water Everywhere

New Mountain Bike Video

We’ve posted a POV video of one of the best local downhill mountain bike trails. Known as the “Evergreen Freeway”, it’s the way I get to town from where I live. A little over three miles long, it’s a roller coaster ride downhill and a solid workout peddling back up. Click HERE for the video.

Snowshoe Shakedown Cruise

In preparation for the upcoming backcountry snowboarding season, I took the new snowshoes out for a shakedown cruise today. It’s been a while since I humped around the woods on a pair of snowshoes; my last pair of snowshoes was made from hardwood and rawhide, these are “western” style snowshoes; aluminum frame with neoprene and … Read more
