Ride ‘Em, Work On ‘Em

So thankful that summer actually seems to be rolling around with some nice, sunny days. Still super green from all the spring rain, but now the skies are blue and the sun is out. Riding conditions are great.

Sunny And Green

Mountain bikes are pretty amazing vehicles. They take a lot of abuse and there’s not a lot of material there; a few tubes, some aluminum parts and a couple tires. From time to time, you have to do a little maintenance on them or you might wind up walking home from the middle of nowhere. Today, Don S. from Gorge Delights and I put in a little time buffing out a couple eleven year old front forks so a couple of riders can get back on the trail.

Fork Rebuild

Even though Don is utilizing the hammer here, it is skill, not brute force, that got the job done.

  1. Hiya Mikey, now I understand why you’re supposed to rebuild your fork more often than once a decade.

Hope all is well with you & the girls.
