Sorry for the lack of posts here in the past couple weeks. To be perfectly honest, not much has been happening outdoors-wise. Since I was blackballed at Mt. Hood Meadows last season, there won’t be as much snowboarding coverage as last year, so sorry for that. Odds are I’ll be in a better spot next season and have more cooperation with a resort that is interested in more than collecting season ticket fees from weekend warriors.
Unfortunately, the weather has not been so good for backcountry snowboarding. It’s either been too warm, freezing ass cold, or a combination of the two which creates a dangerous avalanche situation. It’s really cold right now and we are expecting a combination of snow and freezing rain for the next day or two. You want excitement? Take a drive around the local hills in your car or truck; plenty of downhill action.
We are also doing some upgrades to the computers; adding and rearranging hard drives, working on the file server and getting the workstation ready for an SSD boot drive. We have also done some maintenance on the WatermanAtWork.com website, all “behind the scenes” stuff. We are also in the process of editing some longer videos that will be up on the website shortly as well as more photos, reviews and “how-to” articles.
Hang in there, good stuff is on the way soon.
