Summer is finally here and what a great day to start it off. Sunny and the low 80’s. The wind finally died for a few hours so we woke up at 2:30 AM and headed up to one of the high lakes. Not the highest lakes yet, they are still snow bound. Maybe next week or so.
Not a cloud in the sky and dead glass as the sun started to come over the trees.
Off to the south, the moon was hanging over Mt. Hood.
It was a great day to be out on the water
I caught five or six trout, catch and release, but it was a little slower than normal. I landed the kayak at a few open spots on the lake and poked around the woods a little.
Looks like they are going to blow the Condit Dam on the White Salmon River and that is going to be the end of Northwestern Lake, so we’ll need to get one last fishing trip in before it’s gone.
Great pictures. Looks like you have quite the setup.
